Doomsday

Huh.
Wow.
This movie almost leaves me speechless. Seriously. This one is something else. It’s like someone threw darts at movies from the 80s and then created a movie from whatever the darts landed on.
At first I thought that someone had just picked popular 80s movies like, ‘Escape from New York’ and ’Mad Max,’ but the fact that there was a heavy dose of ‘Lady Hawke’ make me think it was just darts.
So, really, this movie is just a bunch of movies you’ve already seen. And you’ve seen them better, in the original.
There is no plot. There is no logic. There is no point.
But it did make me laugh. It was so pointless and “logic-less” and deeply bizarre, that when we got to the music video in the middle, I just about died.
And the costumes, the costumes were killing me as well!
This may actually dethrone “Alone In the Dark” (which has Christain Slater, Tara Reid, and Stephen Dorff - not to mention a 2.2 rating on IMDB) as the worst movie I’ve seen (and secretly love). But I’m still not sure about that. I might have to have a bad movie watch-a-thon to judge.
PS - Don’t even ask what my favorite Lifetime movies are. The list is strong. And I defend it!
